Explain whether the cargo is fresh, chilled or frozen and disclose any treatment or monitoring requirements. Settings must come from the responsible cargo party; they should not be guessed from a commodity name.
Plan the handovers
Review loading arrangements, power availability, terminal cutoffs and destination collection with the operating team. Equipment and routing must suit the product requirements. Any monitoring, records or specialist handling obligations should be expressly agreed before booking.
