End-to-End Coordination

Ex-Works logistics from supplier pickup to delivery

When the seller makes cargo available at its premises, the buyer carries most of the transport responsibility. We coordinate the pickup, origin formalities, main freight and destination handover as one managed movement.

01

Define the starting point and commercial terms

Provide the full supplier address, the agreed Incoterm and named place if known, and the stages you want quoted. Identify who will make the cargo ready, load the collection vehicle and arrange the origin formalities. A label such as Ex-Works is not a substitute for clear instructions about the actual pickup and handover.

  • Supplier address and authorised contact
  • Cargo-ready date and collection window
  • Packed dimensions, weight and package count
  • Requested ocean and destination scope
02

Coordinate the supplier’s readiness

With your authorisation, the team can clarify cargo readiness, documents and pickup arrangements with the nominated supplier. Tell us about loading access, working hours and any appointment requirement. If the shipment contains several purchase orders, identify each one and confirm which packages belong to the collection.

03

Compare a complete movement cost

Ask for the origin collection, handling, ocean movement and requested destination services on the same basis. Review rate validity, exclusions, local charges and possible additional handling. A supplier’s price and an ocean rate do not by themselves describe the full logistics cost.

04

Plan multiple suppliers before consolidation

List each supplier address, readiness date and package details. Combining orders can add collection distances, storage and handling stages, so assess the complete plan before assuming that one container is the best option. Decide who can authorise a partial collection if one supplier is delayed.

05

Keep documents and receiving instructions aligned

Confirm who prepares the commercial, packing and shipment instructions and when they are required. Package references, quantities and weights should agree across the information provided. At destination, identify the receiving party and any delivery requirements so the quoted handover is clear before the cargo leaves origin.

Frequently asked questions

Can I enquire before the supplier has final packing details?

Yes. Provide the route, commodity and estimated readiness. Final dimensions, weights, documents and collection conditions are still needed before the service and charges can be confirmed.

Is every origin or destination service included?

Only the stages expressly included in the quotation. Ask the team to identify collection, loading, formalities, transport and destination responsibilities separately.
